About
Physiology is the study of how our bodies work at the molecular ,cellular and organ systems levels. Understanding human physiology s therefore a key part of knowing ourselves, and of course , Knowing what's normal is crucial to understanding the abnormalities that lead to disease ,and enabling development of effective treatments .
Our department has road teaching and research representation within the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences and other faculties. Our goal is to understand how physiological systems encode ,transmit and act upon information from the level of single molecules to integrated systems of the cell organ and organism - as they must in order to ensure human health.
