Internal medicine is a very important discipline in medical education ,Our department aim to reinforce and extend student basic knowledge and skills acquired during the previous years of medical school
Aims :
to reinforce and extend the student basic knowledge and skills acquired during the previous years of medical education and enable the student to acquire more experience regarding the care of medical cases , as well as the social and emotional aspects of illness.
Objectives::
- Take careful history, properly perform medical examination, apply necessary investigations and use these medical records to reach logical diagnosis of medical problem by synthesizing all data collected.
- Discuss the etiology, pathology / patho physiology / clinical presentation/ diagnosis and management of common medical diseases.
- Discuss the different methods of therapy and the reasons for setting medical therapy in specific patients and disease entities and determine the consequence of medical intervention.
- Enable the student to recognize and differentiate the common skin diseases and make a plan for their management.
