The Department of Anatomy convey knowledge to the future physicians and researchers (undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate) in fields of gross anatomy, histology, embryology, and neuroanatomy. As our medical students enter the qualified positions of tomorrow, they will contribute to the development of basic and clinical sciences.
The main goals of the Department are to teach the students the concepts of body structures, to prepare the students for clinical courses and medical sciences that are taking place, and determine to the values of ethical professional interactions.
The teaching responsibilities of the department range from Gross Anatomy, histology, embryology, and neuroanatomy to cutting edge research in the molecular aspects of fundamental cellular processes. Departmental teaching is preceded on the view that teaching should involve active participation of students through small discussion groups, carefully designed laboratory exercises, lectures and labs.
